Trust Fund, the Bristol, UK project of Ellis Jones, and one of last year’s 50 Best New Bands, is “very close to finishing” a brand new album entitled We Have Always Lived In The Harolds, which is set for release on his Bandcamp page on 6/20. In anticipation, Jones has released a video for the album’s first single “Together,” which simply shows, in slow motion, a friend trying to hit a grounded basketball hard enough to be dribble it. Eventually, the protagonist achieves his goal and throws the basketball across the park in celebration while Jones sings “that’s our special time together.” However, despite the happy-sounding nature of the track, it appears that Jones doesn’t exactly appreciate this special time together as he proclaims, “I wanna die/ Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays/ Tuesdays and Thursdays, too/ And the weekends we share.” Check out the video for “Together” below.
