Grimes Cuts Brooklyn Show Short Following Disturbing Incident
Last night, Grimes opened for Florence + The Machine at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and as Brooklyn Vegan reports, she cut her set off early, mid-song. She’d performed in the same venue the night before, without incident, and she only played one less song last night. But midway through “World Princess Part II,” she stopped the song and spoke to the crowd, telling them, “We just had a really disturbing thing happen to us earlier today, so I’m sorry if my voice is shaking. It’s just kind of a fucked day.” Here’s a fan-made video:
Hopefully everything is OK! She hasn’t addressed it on social media yet. But it is cool that, even in the midst of cutting a show off early, she still took a moment to thank her dancers.
UPDATE: Grimes tweeted about it…
I will explain what happened at Barclays once I can safely and legally do so.

In the meantime "someone from Reddit" or fan accounts are not credible sources. Speculating about my mental health is not news. Thanks.
