Last year, Kendrick Lamar opened the BET Awards with an explosive, politically charged performance of "Alright." This year, he again kicked off the proceedings, joining Beyoncé for a surprise performance of their Lemonade collab "Freedom." Bey and her backup dancers began the performance standing in a giant pool of water, and Kendrick emerged from the floor midway through to deliver his verse. Watch below.
