Big Sean – “Living Single” (Feat. Chance The Rapper & Jeremih)
Chance The Rapper has been on one hell of a roll. It’s tough to recall even so much as a bad verse from the guy (probably because it doesn’t exist), and he’s popped up on a bunch of features and hijacked the stage at festivals since dropping the excellent Coloring Book.
Now he’s added to the streak, tapping Big Sean, fellow Chicagoan Jeremih, and St. Louis upstart Smino for “Living Single.” It’s somewhat of a loose ode to the dope ’90s sitcom of the same name with the hook borrowing from the show’s theme song, but it’s more of a lament about being single and broke. Though none of the guys on the song have those problems, it’s still a smooth joint for the undateable and financially challenged to rock to. Chance mentioned that J. Cole was on the track as well, but his verse couldn’t be included due to label constraints. I guess there will be some dreadheads in Roc Nation’s lobby.
UPDATE: The final version of the track, which will apparently appear on Big Sean’s upcoming album, has now arrived. Listen.
