Stream Thom Yorke’s Bedtime Mix For BBC Radio 1
In its Bedroom Mix series, the BBC brings in artists to put together mixes of music that you can listen to while falling asleep. This is a valuable service! We’ve already posted bedroom mixes from Grimes and Tame Impala, and yesterday, big dog Thom Yorke shared his own mix of drifting-off ambience. Yorke’s mix opens with Yorke, in the form of a “Fitter, Happier”-style computer voice, saying that he often listens to and writes music while half-asleep, and if you wanted to make fun of Radiohead’s recent output, you could really run with that. As Pitchfork points out, the mix includes Radiohead rarity “Melatonin” and Yorke’s live performance of “Bloom,” as well as tracks from Holden, Laurie Spiegel, and William Winant. Check it out here.
