Metallica back! The most famous, influential, and arguably greatest metal band of all time will return this November with a new album called Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. It’s a whopping two discs and 80 minutes long and was produced by Greg Fidelman along with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. (The deluxe edition includes a third disc with “Lords Of Summer” and a bunch of “riff origins” tracks.) They shared the news today along with a video for album opener and sort-of title track “Hardwired,” a blistering high-speed thrash throwback to their ’80s glory days. “We’re so fucked! Hetfield sings in Extremely James Hetfield Voice. “Shit outta luck! Hardwired to self destruct!” Watch below.
