The lone Southern TDE ranger Isaiah Rashad is set to drop his proper debut in two weeks. Frankly, it’s been too long since 2014’s Cilvia Demo because that and everything he’s put out since has been excellent. We’re still not sure what’s going to be on the album, but it’s seems like “Free Lunch” will certainly be on there, and I personally hope January’s “Smile” will make the cut. Today, he drops another song that appears to be on the album, entitled “i mean.” Rashad spits slickly with his Southern drawl dripping all over triumphant horns, choral hums, and knocking drums reminscent of prime UGK. The album is shaping up to be a Dirty South treasure. I can’t wait. Listen to “i mean” below.
