Liam Gallagher Announces Debut Solo Album, Is “A Cunt” After All
In January former Oasis and Beady Eye singer Liam Gallagher stressed that he’s not going solo because he is “not a cunt.”

Well, now he takes that back. Earlier this week, he gave an interview in which he clowned his brother and ex-bandmate Noel and also announced that he’d written an album’s worth of solo songs he referred to as “chin-out music.” (“It’s a record written by me, that’s got all the right ingredients and sounds well tasty. You won’t be scratching your chin. It’s not Pink Floyd and it ain’t Radiohead.”) NME reports that an official deal with Warner Bros is now in place for said solo album to come out next year. Of the LP, Gallagher says, “Very excited to be signing to the mighty Warner Brothers; looking forward to making some super sweet sound. Keep the faith!” Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Records UK president Phil Christie calls the album “big, bold, and heartfelt, and it feels important and culturally relevant.”
