Isaiah Rashad just dropped his full-length debut, The Sun’s Tirade. The TDE Southern rep came correct with a varied mix of aesthetics — traversing several eras and regions of rap — that is still distinctly his. To coincide with the release of the album, he shares a video for its first proper song “4r Da Squaw.” Directed by Dave Free (of The Lil Homies) and Christian Sutton, the clip features Rashad on the Santa Monica Pier in Southern California enjoying a day with his son. His son is adorable, dancing carefree on the boardwalk as Rashad spits his verses in slow-mo. There’s also some clever, subtle commentary going on with dollar amounts (presumably account balances) floating above people’s heads. It’s a great clip for a great song. Watch.
