The euphoric Virginia sing-rapper D.R.A.M. is on one hell of a run right now; his Lil Yachty collab “Broccoli” was a legit song-of-the-summer contender. And today, he’s come out with a new one called “Cash Machine.” It’s fucking great. The song is built around a big, funky piano loop from producer Ricky “Wallpaper” Reed, and it’s got D.R.A.M. braying and falsetto-wailing about how he doesn’t have to deal with anymore bullshit now that he’s paid. D.R.A.M. is touring this fall, and he appears to have absolutely no album-release plans, which seems oddly revolutionary. Also, I recently learned that his name stands for “Does Real Ass Music,” which is too great.
