Watch The Killers Play Sam’s Town Songs For The First Time In Almost 10 Years At Decennial Extravaganza
The Killers’ sophomore LP Sam’s Town turns 10 years old on Monday — I know, I know — and to celebrate the occasion, the band are performing the album in its entirety at a pair of shows at Sam’s Town Hotel And Gambling Hall, the Las Vegas casino that lent the record its name. They played the first gig of the two-day Decennial Extravaganza last night, opening with acoustic renditions of “Smile You Mean It” and “Change Your Mind” for VIPS only before launching into the album proper, performing “Why Do I Keep Counting?” live for the first time since 2007, “My List” and “Exitlude” for the first time since 2009, and “Sam’s Town” and “This River Is Wild” for the first time since 2013.
