Big Sean – “No More Interviews”
Big Sean is sick of the industry bullshit on “No More Interviews.” It’s rare to hear Sean Don in this mode — going in for nearly three and half minutes without a radio-ready hook — but go in he certainly does. Dude doesn’t even care that he’s going off beat and spilling over bars jamming too many words into them. Over a menacing loop and whistling sample, he gets a lot off his chest. Sean addresses Kid Cudi’s recent rant, rhyming about how he put Cudder on his Hall Of Fame song “First Chain” with Nas in 2013 thinking they were brothers, only to find out on the internet that they are at odds. He also discusses his ex, Naya Rivera, questions about whether or not he’s still signed to G.O.O.D. Music, his Detroit bona fides, how influential he’s been in the rap game, and how fake people are in the music industry. It’s not the best rapping ever, but it’s certainly one of the most raw, confessional tracks Big Sean has come out with in a long time. Check it out below.
