Common – “Black America Again (Remix)” (Feat. Gucci Mane & Pusha T)
Common has now put Stevie Wonder and Gucci Mane on the same song, and that feels like a grand achievement. Recently, Common released his politically-engaged new album Black America Again, and its title track featured Stevie Wonder, as well as production from jazz adventurers Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins. And now, we get the remix, which features the sharp and incisive street-rap kings Gucci Mane and Pusha T — Gucci talking about his time in prison, Pusha talking about police violence. If they’d recorded their verses a little later, you can bet that all three of these guys would’ve had some things to say about a Trump presidency. Listen to the remix below, via Miss Info.
Black America Again is out now on Def Jam.
