Michael Chapman – “Sometimes You Just Drive”
Early next year, the septuagenarian British folk legend Michael Chapman will release 50, a new album that he recorded with the zoned-out young guitar hero Steve Gunn. On the record, plenty of younger, folk-influenced musicians join Chapman, and the songs we’ve heard sound closer to the Kurt Vile/Steve Gunn school of shaggy folk rock than to the expansive ’70s folk that made Chapman a beloved figure in the first place. We’ve already posted the lead single “That Time Of Night,” and now Chapman has also shared the warm and woozy “Sometimes You Just Drive.” Check it out below.
50 is out 1/20 on Paradise Of Bachelors.
