Jeremih Removed From Summer’s Over Tour
Jeremih has spent much of the Summer’s Over tour acting like he’d rather be doing anything other than the Summer’s Over tour. His apparent resentment over the fact that he’s opening for PARTYNEXTDOOR has led to a walkoff, a possible stunt-double switcheroo, and a big onstage rant, and now he’s finally getting his wish: He’s no longer on the Summer’s Over tour. Live Nation has removed Jeremih from the remainder of the tour, and they’ve issued the following statement:
Live Nation’s top priority is helping artists and performers create great shows for their fans. With this in mind, we’ve decided it’s best for the Summer’s Over Tour to continue without Jeremih, effective immediately. After multiple incidents we are left with no other choice. We do not support these actions or take these actions lightly. Ticketholders may request a full refund at point of purchase, which will forfeit access to the entire show. No partial refunds will be issued.
Everyone’s happy, I guess? Well, Jeremih’s probably still not happy.
UPDATE: PARTYNEXTDOOR addressed the beef onstage in San Francisco…
“I appreciate everybody filling up this room, and standing in this room, and not refunding your ticket, because you want to see a real person. … I might not have the most hits in the game that’s under my name — I might not sing the best falsetto … Everyone knows I’m a real person and I don’t have time for any other fake shit. I can’t do fake shit. I’m not calling nobody fake, I’m just saying.”
