Blaenavon – “Orthodox Man” Video
British rock trio Blaenavon are ready for a full-fledged American offensive, and it begins with a New York travelogue of sorts. “Orthodox Man” is the lead single from the band’s debut album That’s Your Lot, coming in April. The track tops off the hearty anthemic tendencies of Frightened Rabbit with a suave metropolitan touch akin to Morrissey. Its video, directed by Francesca Consarino, tracks the band on their first visit to NYC, framing them as aspiring next-gen British invaders. It’s a lot of fun; check it out below.

Blaenavon’s Ben Gregory shared a statement about the album:
That’s Your Lot is 5 years of our lives condensed into 59 minutes of yours. Youth, capriciousness, duality, duplicity, love, bitterness, fate. Songs from the human core: some malleable, long considered – others pure, direct, cruelly honest. An album to bathe in and appreciate the inevitable end.
That’s Your Lot is out 4/7 on Canvasback Music/Atlantic. Pre-order it here beginning Friday.
