Laura Marling – “Next Time” Video
The UK folk musician Laura Marling seems to grow more confident and badass with each successive album. Next month, she’ll release the new LP Semper Femina, probably her best album yet. And today, she’s shared her self-directed video for the new album track “Next Time.” The song, built on a swirl of acoustic guitars and strings, is just suffocatingly lovely. And the video, like Marling’s clip for first single “Soothing” (which she also directed), is built heavily on thoughtful choreography. In this one, a woman dances around an ornate seaside room that she can’t seem to escape. Check it out below.
Semper Femina is out 3/10 on Marling’s own More Alarming Records.
