The Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merritt is releasing his latest ambitious experiment, 50 Song Memoir, next month, and so far we've heard six tracks from it, which seems like a lot but really isn't because there are so many! Today we get a seventh -- this one's called "'81 How to Play the Synthesizer," and it uses the titular instrument to express a new form of musical discovery. It comes attached to a video created by John Erickson, Alex Basco Koch & José Zayas of a ton of synths. Watch and listen below.
