Geraldine Fibbers – “Thank You For Giving Me Life” Video
The Geraldine Fibbers’ Virgin Records debut Lost Somewhere Between The Earth And My Home is over two decades old, but at the end of this week it’s receiving a long-overdue reissue courtesy of Jealous Butcher Records. The ’90s experimental country band led by Carla Bozulich has remained largely inactive in the meantime but today are releasing their first new track in 20 years. “Thank You For Giving Me Life” features the lineup that recorded Butch, the band’s 1997 follow-up to Lost Somewhere Between The Earth And My Home, which includes guitar heavyweight Nels Cline and Jessica Moss. The song is an eerie, volatile alt-punker that alternates between galloping distortion and psychedelic fuzz. It will be included on the reissue alongside an unreleased live version of “You Doo Right” and the tracks “Bitter Honey” and “234” from the original album sessions. Watch the official video below.
The Lost Somewhere Between The Earth And My Home reissue is out 5/5 via Jealous Butcher Records. Pre-order it here.
