James Corden Will Host 2018 Grammys In NYC
James Corden will return as the host of the 2018 Grammys, CBS announced Wednesday at its upfront presentation in New York.
The Late Late Show host emceed the music awards show for the first time earlier this year.
The Grammys will return to New York City for the first time since 2003 next year, with the ceremony set to take place at Madison Square Garden.
The show, its 60th edition, will air Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, on CBS.
With his 2017 Grammys hosting gig, Corden replaced longtime host LL Cool J, who had presided over the ceremony for the previous five years.
Corden, based in Los Angeles, also hosted the 2016 Tony Awards (in New York) for CBS, while his late-night colleague Stephen Colbert, based in New York, has been tapped to host this year’s Emmy Awards (in Los Angeles) on CBS.
The Tony-winning Corden has regularly showcased his musical fluency on The Late Late Show, singing and dancing with his guests and taking various musicians on “Carpool Karaoke” rides.
