Phoenix have been fixated on Italy throughout the making and promotion of their new Ti Amo. The album was created using a mood-board centered on the word "gelato", they've described it as reminiscent of Italian discos in summertime, and the video for lead single "J-Boy" was inspired by retro Italian variety shows. That video's motif extends to a broader scope in Phoenix's latest album promo, a three-song special called Ti Amo Speciale featuring performances of "J-Boy," "Goodbye Soleil," and "Ti Amo" as well as interviews with the band.
