We named Soccer Mommy one of the Best New Bands Of 2016 on the strength of her album For Young Hearts. Since then, Sophie Allison has released a 7" and announced that her forthcoming mini-album, Collection, will be out this summer by way of Fat Possum. We've already heard lead single "Out Worn" and today Soccer Mommy debuted a new one called "Allison," which comes accompanied by aHarry James Clifford-directed video. Allison told The FADER that this track is one of the most personal on the album.
I spent last year away from the person I was seeing and I focused a lot on my music and this song is kind of a reflection of the distance and loneliness I felt while spending time on my art.
