Donald Glover Does Surprise Performance Of “This Is America” At Chance The Rapper’s OpenMike Chicago

Chance The Rapper holds monthly OpenMike Chicago events where high school students perform and network. Each evening ends with professional artists sharing their work and experience. Tonight, Glover did the honors. "My next guest needs no introduction, Chance says to the audience. The students scream and cheer as "This Is America" starts to play. Footage of the performance shows Glover reenacting the iconic dance moves from the song's viral video. Watch below.

According to Spin, Glover said "teens will kick [his] ass" if he doesn't collaborate with Chance soon. The two have previously worked together on Chance’s "Favorite Song" from Acid Rap and Glover's “The Worst Guys" from Because The Internet, among others.

Glover is the latest to hop on the recent high school performance wave, following SZA and Jack White.
