Hayley Williams – “Dead Horse”
Paramore leader Hayley Williams is splitting her debut solo album Petals For Armor into three parts that she’s releasing as separate EPs. We already got Petals For Armor I in February. And now we’re getting Petals For Armor II, which includes new song “Dead Horse” in addition to the previously shared “Roses/Lotus/Iris/Violet,” “Over Yet,” “My Friend,” “Why We Ever.”
“PFA II is the perfect interlude between where Petals began and where it’s going,” Williams writes in a statement. “Part III isn’t far behind. I needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms and discover what I desire for my life.”
“The latest single, ‘Dead Horse’ offers strength back to a younger, weaker version of myself,” Williams continues. “I feel like all of this needed to be said in order to embody the kind of woman I hope to be.” Listen to “Dead Horse” and stream all of Petals For Armor II below.
The Petals For Armor II EPis out now. The full Petals For Armor album, including Petals For Armor III, is out 5/8 on Atlantic.
