On Halloween, the prolific London-based DJ and producer Daniel Avery will release Tremor, his debut LP for Domino. The record has a ton of collaborators: Cecile Believe and Ride/Oasis' Andy Bell, for example, feature on the previously-released lead single "Rapture In Blue." Today Avery has another new single out called "The Ghost Of Her Smile", which features Julie Dawson, vocalist of the Galway indie rockers NewDad.
"The Ghost Of Her Smile" is a Cocteau Twins-esque dream-pop anthem that pairs Dawson's soft vocals with some razor-sharp drums. Avery says in a press release:
The longer I live with Tremor, the more this track feels like a shining light on the horizon after a night in the fog. I’ve been a fan of NewDad from the moment I heard them -- one of those stop what you’re doing and turn up the radio moments -- so I’m truly excited to have Julie Dawson on this record.
