Okkervil's stayed true to The Stand Ins chosen themes of band anxieties and replacements in 2008, losing Jonathan Meiburg to Shearwater, even asking various artists to stand-in for them on the YouTube covers project. That said, when prematurely evaluated the album, we wondered how "the characters in these songs -- the ostensible stand-ins -- (are) any different than those with bona fide stage names?" Well thanks to this Seth & Bobby directed video for "Lost Coastlines," we have an answer: the stand ins don't have TVs for heads.
