Last year, Iron & Wine teamed up with I'm With Her for the single "Robin's Egg" and with Band Of Horses' Ben Bridwell for the covers EP Making Good Time. Now, Sam Beam is announcing a new record called Hen's Teeth, the follow-up to 2024's Grammy-nominated Light Verse. It arrives just next month and includes "Robin's Egg," as well as an additional collaboration with I'm With Her. The new single "In Your Ocean" is out now.
Along with I'm With Her, Hen’s Teeth features David Garza, Sebastian Steinberg, Tyler Chester, Griffin Goldsmith, Beth Goodfellow, Kyle Crane, and Paul Cartwright. It was recorded with Dave Way (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow) in Los Angeles. About the album title, Beam says, "To me it suggests the impossible. Hen's teeth do not exist. And that's what this record felt like: A gift that shouldn’t be there but it is. An impossible thing but it's real."
