deathcrash Announce New Album Somersaults: Hear The Title Track

In November, deathcrash returned with "Triumph" and teased a new record. Now, the London slowcore outfit is announcing Somersaults, the followup to 2023's Less. The title track is out today, and it's a melancholic, reflective gem.

"This record comes from a place of growing up, and giving up on adolescent dreams," bassist Patrick Fitzgerald. "[Guitarist] Matt [Weinberger] presented to us this beautiful nostalgic song, more or less fully formed, and he'd called it 'Somersaults' before the vocals were ever written for it. It became a symbol for the record more or less instantly,"

While the resigned vocal delivery and poignant guitars certainly build an atmosphere of wistfulness, the lyrics are what really hit: "As you grew up into an elegant life/ My childhood room was still the center of mine." The song ascends to a beautiful place as it goes on. Listen below.
