deary Announce Debut Album Birding: Hear “Seabird”

So many bands have been trying their hand at dreampop in the wake of the shoegaze revival, but few are pulling off those celestial sounds as effectively as deary do on "Seabird." The song, the lead single from the London trio's forthcoming debut album Birding, is out today, following a run of promising tracks like last year's "I Still Think About You."

Guitarist Ben Easton weighs in on the song and its significance to the new album's big picture:

With the whole bird theme, there was also a direct nod to religious iconography — the majesty of feeling insignificant in the wider world. "Seabird" is like a fable, a story of this person pleading to a bird and asking, "When does it get better?" We wanted to recreate that kind of majesty, feeling insignificant to the wider world. It is the perfect introduction to the rest of the record in that regard.
