Michelle Branch Covers Turnstile

Turnstile are everywhere to me. When I close my eyes, it's them I see. Elton John loves them. Miguel loves them. And now, I guess Michelle Branch loves them, too. Today, pop veteran Branch, of "All You Wanted" and "still being married to Patrick Carney" fame, posted a tender piano cover of Turnstile's "Never Enough," the title track from the band's 2025 album.

This isn't anything new. Big stars have been posting Turnstile covers for a long time. It's been six years since 311's Nick Hexum went out in his backyard and sang Turnstile's "Blue By You." Turnstile themselves are big stars now, and "Never Enough" was a #1 hit on alternative radio. Branch's version is very pretty! It's still weird to see this happening! Check it out below.

I bet Michelle Branch is stoked that Stereogum's hardcore column is back.
