Paris Fashion Week is currently underway, and fashion people were evidently pretty stoked on designer Jonathan Anderson's second menswear collection for Dior at Musée Rodin yesterday. Two notable people inspired the show: The early 20th century French designer Paul Poire and the non-fashion designer Mk.gee.
"Alesis," from Mk.gee's 2024 debut Two Star & The Dream Police, opened and closed the FW26-27 Dior Homme runway soundtrack, and the non-album single "ROCKMAN" played too. "I'd met this amazing singer and musician called Mk.gee," Anderson told Vogue about the show. "I was trying to work out what these characters would be together, as a new radical." Mk.gee isn't a total newbie to the high fashion world, either, having previously performed songs from Two Star & The Dream Police live at Jil Sander's FW24 show at Milan Fashion Week. Here's Anderson talking a bit more about meeting him:
Luca Guadagnino filmed Anderson's press conference about the collection, and SZA and Yung Lean were among the guests at the show. Here they are, hopefully talking about their favorite Mk.gee songs:
