Tom Rowlands (The Chemical Brothers) & AURORA Announce Debut Album As TOMORA Come Closer: Hear The Title Track

Tom Rowlands is one half of legendary block-rockers the Chemical Brothers. AURORA is a UK vocalist who's worked with the Chems a few times. Together, Rowlands and AURORA are now making music under the name TOMORA. See, his name is Tom, and her name is AURORA. If you mash together, you get a word that kind of looks like "tomorrow." Boom. Instant band name. Wordplay, baby.

Late last year, TOMORA announced their existence and shared "Ring The Alarm," their first single. Today, the album announcement is here. TOMORA's full-length debut is called Come Closer, and it drops this spring. "Ring The Alarm" is a hectic club track, but the album's title track goes in a different direction. It's a spacey, psychedelic zone-out that's awfully light on beats. That means it's more like something that you might find on the second half of a Chemical Brothers record, but it's track two here. I'm into it.

Adam Smith and S T A R T ! directed the "Come Closer" video. You can see that clip and the Come Closer tracklist below.
