The Last Dinner Party – “Let’s Do It Again!”

Nora Nishevci

We're a few weeks away from the release of HELP(2), a new all-star War Child benefit compilation that an eye-popping lineup of artists recorded over a few days at London's Abbey Road with executive producer James Ford. We've already heard Arctic Monkeys' comeback song "Opening Night" and the Damon Albarn/Grian Chatten/Kae Tempest collab "Flags," as well as a snippet of Cameron Winter's "Warning," and we're still waiting on contributions from folks like Olivia Rodrigo, Pulp, and Depeche Mode. Today, we get to hear the Last Dinner Party's song for the comp.

The Last Dinner Party, the theatrical and hugely successful UK alt-rock band, released their sophomore album From The Pyre last year. For HELP(2), they've chipped in with "Let's Do It Again!" This song is not a Staple Singers cover, which might've been interesting. Instead, it's a big, joyous singalong with a whole lot of brass in the mix. James Ford co-produced it with Animesh Ravel.

In a press release, the band says, "The song is about the endless carousel of being in a relationship you know you shouldn’t be in, but giving in to the inexorable tug of returning every time you leave. We’d like to say a huge thank you to War Child for asking us to be a part of the project and to James Ford for producing us; it was such a joy to work with him again!” Give it a listen below.

HELP(2) is out 3/6 on War Child Records. Pre-order it here.
