"Moan," the DC screamo/post-hardcore band's first new song since 2024's Glitter And Spit LP, finds them on the warpath, breathing threats, sauntering forward with hostility and conviction. One of the Bandcamp genre tags reads "Palestine," and "Moan" indeed seems to be about maintaining a sense of outrage about the ongoing devastation there, as well as doing what you can to stop it. "I'm on your mind, living in your head/ Do I keep you up at night?" Maha Shami rasps. "They’re dying while we sleep/ It keeps me up at night."
