Fred again.. is good at bringing people together. In the past few months the DJ's shows have featured guest appearances from the likes of Denzel Curry and Amyl And The Sniffers' Amy Taylor, and last October in Paris he did a B2B set with Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter. That set didn't feature much Daft Punk music. But last Friday, the final night of Fred again..'s residency at London's Alexandra Palace, Bangalter joined the DJ booth for some of Daft Punk's biggest hits.
The Daft Punk songs in the setlist included "Technologic," "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger," "Around The World," their Weeknd joint "Starboy," and "One More Time" two times. Bangalter also mashed up a bit of "Aerodynamic" and "Rollin' And Scratchin'" with Fred's "Victory Lap," and worked in a little bit of "Yeah!" by Usher. The set also featured guest appearances from Jamie T, Kano, Ezra Collective, BERWYN, and Joy Anonymous; previously throughout his London residency, Fred has also brought out people like Mike Skinner of the Streets, Underworld, Ca7riel, and La Roux.
