Action Bronson – “Triceratops” (Feat. Lil Yachty & Paul Wall)

"Tadow, Queens be the birthplace/ Turn you to a fuckin' cheeseburger at a children's birthday/ Yeah, I deserve a mermaid/ So I could buy my bitch fake Hermes." It's Bam Bam! No rapper other than Action Bronson would write those lines in a million years or deliver them with such casual panache. That's the Action Bronson that we love, and he's back on "Triceratops," a new single that he made with two special friends.

You already saw the headline to this blog post, so you already know that "Triceratops" features flossy Atlanta star Lil Yachty, fresh off his Wrestlemania appearance, and Houston icon Paul Wall. You might not know that Bronson has the two of them rapping over a loping beat from Griselda go-to guy Daringer, but that should only sweeten the deal. All three rappers go crazy on this chorus-free song, and all three of them sound great over this track. They come from different generations, but there's some lovely and unexpected blog-era excitement in hearing this extremely random group of rappers talking their shit together.

In recent years, Action Bronson, the old hound dog still humpin' the leg, has been more of an all-around celebrity than a rapper. He's acting in movies and eating lunch with Zohran Mamdani and shit. But Bronson still makes music, and his most recent LP Johann Sebastian Bachlava The Doctor came out in 2024. Lately, he's been teasing a new album called Planet Frog, and this seems to be the lead single. It's exactly what I hoped it would be. In the extremely entertaining Chris Grosso-directed video, Bronson, Yachty, and Paul Wall have a good time, presumably while stoned, at Coney Island. (That is Coney Island, right? I'm going to be embarrassed if it's some other dusty old amusement park.) Take it all in below.
