The LA-based electronic pop experimentalist Oxis already graced us with a full-length album in January, and she's already ready to follow it up. A month ago, Oxis graced us with two great singles, "Grey Mullet" and "Scup." It turns out those tracks were a preview of Oxis 9, the marine-themed artist's follow-up to the aforementioned Oxis 8.
News of the new release materialized earlier this week, and we're telling you about it now thanks to the release of the next Oxis 9 single today. "Knifefish" begins with instant momentum and in-your-face intimacy, putting Oxis' vocals front and center over top of a beat that glows and skitters. "Can you hold me tonight?" she asks, her voice glitching in anticipation.
