Alien Nosejob Announce New Album How A Mosquito Operates: Hear “Live Like The Crowd”

For their next trick, the prolific Australian punk act Alien Nosejob are taking on hardcore. How A Mosquito Operates, dropping about a month from now, finds Jake Robertson (formerly of the Ausmuteants, School Damage, etc.) trying his hand at hardcore punk, forgoing his usual conceptual trappings in favor of a looser genre tribute. He says it's the result of "just whatever was giving me the shits on the day of writing." Cited inspirations include Adrenaline OD, early MDC, and Neos.

Lead single "Live Like The Crowd" feels like a pure expression of the genre, accented with some nifty lead guitar work but mostly straightforward in its bombardment. The sentiment feels extremely attuned to the traditional hardcore perspective: "It's easy to be like the crowd/ It's easy to live in the crowd." Watch Sean McAnulty's claymation video for the song below.
