Last month Julian Casablancas fired off some controversial opinions on SubwayTakes, and now the Strokes frontman will be at Oxford this week for an event with the university's debating society.
Casablancas previously spoke at Oxford in 2021. There aren't many details about the event on Thursday (May 28); it does not suggest that he will be debating. There is also a meet & great ballot for students to have the chance to meet Casablancas.
Meanwhile, the Strokes' new record Reality Awaits arrives exactly a month from today, and so far we've heard the polarizing singles "Going Shopping" and "Falling Out Of Love."
