Nashville power trio Lockstep started in 2021, and they quickly figured out an extra-heavy take on shoegaze. The band impressed us with their single "Drag Along" last year, and now they've signed to Profound Lore and announced their full-length debut I Know What I Saw.
Lockstep recorded their LP in Nashville with producer Zac Montez. Singer/drummer Austin Rolison says, "This record is, hands down, our most dialed material yet in every sense. We put a lot of trust and focus into our sonic instincts and ended up with eight songs that I feel truly define everything Lockstep is at this point." The queasy, doomy lead single "Ash In The Water" is a lot prettier than most of the stuff that comes out on Profound Lore.
