Pearly Drops are getting ready to play Lollapalooza this summer, after which they'll be joining Slayyyter on the much-hyped WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA fall tour. The Finnish electronic duo unveiled their latest record The Voices Are Coming Back last year, and now they're announcing an expanded edition called The Voices Became Louder.
The lead single "Falling Out Of Grace" has Swedish avant-pop artist Namasenda and electronic producer/live coding artist DJ_Dave remixing The Voices Are Coming Back's "Pillow Face." The LP also has contributions from RIP Swirl, Night Tapes, 8485, ultra caro, ELOI, BODUR, and Paul Maxwell.
"The Voices Became Louder picks up the bittersweet story of chasing fame in Los Angeles exactly where our third album, The Voices Are Coming Back, left off," Pearly Drops explain, continuing:
This time, the voices return in transformed form, reimagined by collaborators and artists we’ve admired for years. Each reinterpretation feels like a new echo accompanying us deeper on our journey through the limbo.
While we’ve previously worked with guest producers in smaller roles, we’ve never had the opportunity to create something this expansive or collaborative. Bringing together so many artists we genuinely look up to has made the entire project feel both exciting and slightly surreal.
