The young skronk-rockers Tramhaus come from Rotterdam, but their form of itchy, energetic post-punk feels spiritually connected to the stuff coming out of London's Windmill scene. Tramhaus put out their first demo in 2022. Two years later, they dropped their full-length debut The First Exit and then spent a solid 18 months touring all over the world. This fall, they're coming back with their sophomore LP Blister.
Tramhaus recorded Blister with past collaborator Floyd Aterna at GAM Studio, in Belgium's Ardennes Forest. Opening track "Plovdiv" is an erratic riff-beast that's definitely a little more energized and chaotic than anything I heard on that first album. In a press release, the band describes it as "a song about our experiences on tour, as an ode to the people and places we get to know along the way, gaining a network of friends that span the entire globe. But it is also a story about how to keep sane while on the road, how to ride that wave of intensity, surrendering to losing control." Below, check out "Plovdiv" and the Blister tracklist.

Blister is out 10/9 on six different European indie labels: the Netherlands' Subroutine Records, France's Vicious Circle, Austria's Siluh Records, Italy's Bronson Recordings, Portugal's Lovers & Lollypops, and Poland's Peleton Records. I think that's cool. It's like when you see eight different production-company logos at the beginning of an indie film. It's like: "Oh, someone had to work to put this out."
