Disney World Has Officially Replaced Aerosmith With Muppets Covering Blur

Last year, it was announced that Disney World in Orlando was removing Aerosmith from their Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in order to usher in a Muppets-themed era. Now, it's finally happened, and Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem are out here covering Blur at the amusement park.

The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opened last week (May 26), and the classic 1997 hit "Song 2" is one of the band's soundtrack songs, randomly assigned to riders' L.I.M.O. car. Human cameos on the pre-ride boarding experience include Awkwafina, Travis Barker, Wayne Brady, Yvette Nicole Brown, Darren Criss, Neil Patrick Harris, John Stamos, Danny Trejo, Weird Al Yankovic, and, returning from the Aerosmith experience, Ken Marino and Illeana Douglas.

Other songs on the soundtrack include Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild" featuring Camilla the Chicken, Ohio Players' "Love Rollercoaster" featuring Jennifer Hudson and Questlove, Def Leppard's "Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)" featuring Def Leppard, and Katrina And The Waves' "Walking On Sunshine" featuring Kelly Clarkson.

Only the Blur cover does not have a special guest. Incidentally, "Song 2" debuted on the US Mainstream Rock Airplay chart this week in 1997. Meanwhile, the Muppets joined Coldplay's Chris Martin last month to announce the first World Cup Final Halftime Show, and in February they had a The Muppet Show Disney+ special with Sabrina Carpenter.
