Power Snatch & Tiberius b – “Training” & “Great”

Right now, Paramore leader Hayley Williams seems to be everywhere. She's finally touring as a solo act, and she's touring hard. (Her live show is great, too.) She's covering Prefab Sprout with Romy. She's on new albums from beabadoobee and Failure. And she's making new music with Power Snatch, the new side-project band that she's got going on.

At the top of the year, Williams and regular collaborator Daniel James launched their excellently named duo Power Snatch and shared a couple of songs. After that, Power Snatch covered This Is Lorelei's "Perfect Hand" and shared some new music on Instagram, setting it to footage from the 1970 Czech New Wave film Valerie And Her Week Of Wonders. Now, they've got two new collaborations with the London artist Tiberius b.

At a Hayley Williams show in London a few days ago, Power Snatch and Tiberius b performed their song "Training" live for the first time. That song is a two-minute electro-punk banger that gives me Le Tigre flashbacks. I'm really into it. We get the studio version today, along with the synthy art-pop number "Great." Both songs have so many ideas, and this whole project feels limitless. Listen to both below.

"Training" b/w "Great" is out now on Williams' post-Atlantic label Post Atlantic.
