If you attended the Zac Brown Band show last night, you might be seeing your fellow concertgoers again. You could literally end up on the same boat. Right before performing his 2021 hit "Same Boat," Zac Brown announced a massive surprise for the crowd.
"I'm buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat," he said. "Every single person here gets a cruise for themselves and a loved one to go on the boat. This is the biggest giveaway in history, ladies and gentlemen, here tonight at Fenway Park."
Responding to Brown's Oprah-esque gesture, the crowd looked around in a mix of confusion and shock. Maybe even a little panic? At least, that's how I'd feel, because the idea of getting a cruise as a surprise gift is genuinely terrifying.
You might be wondering how Zac Brown could provide cruise ship tickets to an entire stadium of people? Well, turns out Brown's current tour is sponsored by Margaritaville At Sea and that Brown even partnered with the cruise company to create his own venue, also called Same Boat. It's the "first artist-designed live music venue at sea," and this giveaway is a massive promo op.
