Earlier this week, Frankie Valli made headlines when his brother Bobby said the 92-year-old doo-wop legend was retiring. But it looks like Frankie's career is continuing after all.
On Friday (Aug. 14), Frankie posted on his official Instagram account, "In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired." Shortly after, Bobby shared a post to Facebook: "I apologize, I was misinformed. I was under the impression my brother Frankie was retiring. Hoping for him to have a speedy recovery. to continue his illustrious career!"
Bobby's previous announcement of his brother's retiring had read, "HE WILL NOW RETIRE. WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE SPECIAL MEMORIES OF FRANKIE VALLI. HE HAS REACHED A PLACE IN HIS LIFE WHERE HIS FAMILY IS THERE TO LOVE, CHERISH AND TO BE THERE FOR HIM. WE APPRECIATE YOUR LOVE AND CONCERN." He has since removed the part about retiring from the post.
Frankie Valli was slated to perform more tour dates earlier this year, but he canceled them shortly after his 92nd birthday in May to focus on his health.
