Foo Fighters have spent much of the summer on a stadium tour with Queens Of The Stone Age and Mannequin Pussy, but over the weekend they made their way to the Southern California for something different. Saturday night, the band headlined the Hollywood Bowl backed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and they broke out some rarities for the occasion.
Late in the set, Foo Fighters began slotting in songs they haven't played in years. Per setlist.fm, they did "I Should Have Known" for the first time since 2012 and "Razor" for the first time since 2006. A couple songs later, it was "Home" for the first time since 2007, and Grohl theorized that they'd only played it once previously. There were fireworks during the closing performance of non-rarity "Everlong."
This gig was actually a continuation of an ongoing relationship; Dave Grohl performed with Gustavo Dudamel and the Phil at Coachella last year. Per Foo Fighters' IG caption, YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) and the DC6 Gospel Choir (aka the Foo Fighters Choir) were also onstage at the Bowl. Watch footage of the rarities below.
