Kali Malone's last solo album was 2024's All Life Long. Since then, the Stockholm-via-Denver composer and organist has shared collaborations with Drew McDowall and Leila Bordreuil, and she reissued her influential 2019 LP The Sacrificial Code. Now, she's announcing her new LP Burning Song.
Burning Song was recorded at the historic Thomaskirche in Leipzig, Germany. Malone
is the first musician to play contemporary works on the church's Bach Organ. On the album, she's joined by Lucy Railton on cello and Stephen O'Malley on bowed acoustic guitar. Hear the hypnotic lead single "Heavy With Fruit" below.
