In July, 2hollis leaned into darkness with "Hurt," a cinematic track that flirted with industrial techno. Now, the unpredictable rapper/singer is back to EDM-infused pop bombast with his new song "Sex."
In a new interview with i-D, Hollis Frazier-Herndon confirmed that "Hurt" and "Sex" come from his yet-to-be-announced star followup. "This is the first album I made where I felt I had really experienced love, and throughout the album was experiencing love," he said, and that's evident on "Sex," which, despite its straightforwardness, might be the most wholesome song about sex ever. Never does it feel lewd, and only at some points does it feel sexy — mostly it just feels excited and happy.
"Sex" comes with a music video directed by and starring both 2hollis and his girlfriend Sirena Warren, who he says influenced the album. Watch below.
