"A Drowning" was the first taste from How To Destroy Angels, Trent Reznor's new project with his new wife Mariqueen Maandig, but "The Space In Between" gets the first proper video. First thoughts on the clip? What a terrible honeymoon. Maandig sings, while Reznor and Maandig bleed to death, then catch on fire in a darkened hotel room. The track itself is moodier than the trip-hop-esque "A Drowning," though the song cuts its final crescendo short, ending in a weird place. The video was directed by Rupert Sanders.
